About this deal

I got this buggy when our less expensive Maclaren imitation started to buckle under the weight of my then two-and-half year old Finn.

The Techno has an easy-to-access storage bin with the seatback upright (above left), but it only accepts up to 4. It does have adjustable handle heights, but on the lowest setting it's still higher than the Quest making it longer when folded.I was contacted by Maclaren who kindly offered me a double pushchair, I asked if I could have a single basic one instead as Toddler Boy is getting to the stage where he mainly wants to walk. Maximum weight capacity - seat load 25 kg Recommended age range (best to use with a child of) 0-42 months Reversible seat unit No L-shaped, bucket-type seat unit No Reclining backrest Yes, 4 positions Full-recline backrest (a bigger-than-a-150-degree-angle to a lie-flat) Yes Backrest recline type Rear-located recline mechanism (e.

The Techno XT also features an adjustable leg rest, which, when combined with the full recline, makes for a nice napping surface. I purchsed the maclaren XT as though is wasmore expensive i thought it would last for a 2nd child, how wrong was I. When testing the Maclaren Techno XT, we found the brakes to be simple to apply and release, and our parent testers felt the same. Owen Maclaren, formerly a test pilot and the designer of Spitfire undercarriage legs used his knowledge in aeronautical engineering when creating the first umbrella stroller. The lovely people at Maclaren have actually offered the Readers of Being a Mummy the chance to win their own Maclaren Techno XT pushchair!I personally love this buggy for its weight and practicality, as some of the funkier models are a little heavier. We've had a Britax Vigour 3 for 18 months now but wanted to get a lighter stroller now that our daughter is a bit older (and heavier! The only thing the Techno has better than the Quest is the extending hood, which is handy to shelter your child from wind or sun. So yes get a mac but try to borrow or get a second hand thing with a bit more absorbency of paving, just to use while baby is tiny.

The manufacturer states that it is suitable from birth with the use of a newborn "cushion" (included with the stroller), I would personally recommend it from 4-5 months. All of our parent testers rated the Maclaren Techno XT’s quality and ease of use as good or very good, and all were left somewhat to very satisfied.Tailored to perfection, the Techno Xt 2018 version is made to reduce weight, improve ergonomics and add style. I would also like something with a cup holder near the handles as it is impossible to try and hold/balance one on the hood. If you have a very tall child, you will love the adjustable canopy that moves up and down the frame giving your child plenty of headroom. It feels pretty sold, the ride is actually remarkably smooth and my daughter actually finds it much more comfortable than the Britax.
