Even though Muichiro seems rather self-involved, he's proven himself a qualified fighter and honorable slayer. Obanai Iguro dies in the Final Battle Arc while fighting with Muzan. During the fight, the sunlight was going to come. The demon slayers were trying to hold him. Also, Iguro uses his chain to hold Muzan. After all, the sunlight kills Muzan. Whereas, due to his previous injury, he dies through the injury during the battle but was able to give help in killing Muzan. Before dying, he also confessed his feelings for Mitsuri. Yet another demon slayer who is hot-headed and ill-tempered is Genya Shinazugawa. His equipment matches his temper: a double-barreled sawed-off shotgun that contains ammo made from Nichirn sword metal capable of killing via headshot and a smaller wakizashi. Could the cause for his lower ranking be his serpentine running style? If he went straight, he could've ranked higher.
