About this deal

But it’s all jazzy hip hop songs in the same 4/4 time signature with instrumentals that are not very interesting and music that is not very striking. Though I did enjoy the hook of King Kunta, and I love Wesley’s Theory and the interludes were great. after listening to mortal man and realising where the name "to pimp a butterfly" comes from im just left out disturbed and terrified by how this album actually ended... Keep collections to yourself or inspire other shoppers! Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections - they may also appear in recommendations and other places.

i've wanted to review this but many of my drafts didnt really work out so i just wanted to post what comes out of my mind.

political, conscious, concept album, poetic, introspective, protest, urban, male vocalist, eclectic, passionate, complex, religious, spiritual, rhythmic, Christian, existential, progressive, serious, dense, philosophical, uplifting, triumphant, epic, death, suicide, melancholic i genuinely have no words i have been hating on this thing for a long time. not because its bad, but because it was overrated and i didnt understand what people saw in this thing and therefore ive been hating on this album for like a year. but then... Brand new issue of this inspired and inspiring album, 'To Pimp A Butterfly' is an adventurous, challenging album, and one that can be added to your essential Hip Hop list. Lyrically the album walks in the footsteps of the Socio-Political commentary of Curtis Mayfield and Marvin Gaye.

Wesley's Theory, the opener of the album, has a pretty nice beginning then transitions into an upbeat enjoyable song with some nice sounds to it as well

All the songs, especially "u", and "For Free? do a very good job at incorporating jazz into the songs as well, which I enjoy a lot
