I am just in the middle of "smoothing" my kitchen walls which were previously textured with sandy emulsion. I tried a smoother they had in Homebase but it was difficult to use on the surface I had as you applied it with a plaster float and I am definitely not a plasterer. I tried Gyproc joint filler & it seems to be just a good if not better & is far, far cheaper only prob is it is light tan in colour & if touching up a white painted wall/ceiling it is harder to cover with paint so I just now use the white smoothover for the finishing touches Please note some larger products are delivered to kerb-side (the street outside your home), it is at the drivers discretion if they can deliver the item to another location on the property.

The results were better than I could have possibly imagined. Application takes time and is messy, so be prepared for that and lay sheets!
