About this deal
The Duracell Plus batteries can’t keep up with the newer Optimum AAs and, like most of the mainstream alkalines, couldn’t deliver a consistently high voltage by the time they reached the 180-minute mark.
Moreover, if you regularly use AA battery-powered devices and find yourself having to replace cells fairly often, then alkalines probably aren’t offering you the best bang for the buck - you may be overdue a switch to rechargeables for considerably improved long-term economy. This is better and safer for both the batteries themselves, and the long-term health of the devices they’re powering.
That’s a problem if you have motors and high-powered torches to power, but for clocks, game controllers and remotes, for example, the Duracells will do a cracking job. These include alkaline batteries like Energizer MAX ® and lithium batteries like our Energizer ® Ultimate Lithium™. Design, safety, Manufacturing, and qualification follow Procell’s stringent battery standards, which incorporate parts of the ANSI and IEC battery standards.
Generally speaking, today’s new energy vehicles, energy storage batteries, and forklift batteries are gradually replaced by lithium-ion batteries. Wall clocks, non-mains accent lighting, cordless phones, smaller flashlights, TV remotes, games and toys, handheld kitchen or grooming gadgets, and various sorts of portable audiovisual technologies all rely on alkaline AA batteries to deliver economical mid-tier cell power.ANSI and IEC battery nomenclature gives several designations for cells in this size, depending on cell features and chemistry. Batteries eventually leaking or corroding is a relatively common occurrence, especially familiar with alkaline AA cells if they’re left unattended for long enough. They’re designed to hold their charge for up to 10 years and cope with temperatures down to -40°C and up to 60°C, and the box informs you that they’re proofed against leakage and explosion – something we’d always regard as a plus. This is particularly important in expensive equipment, where a leaking alkaline battery can damage the equipment due to the corrosive electrolyte coming into contact with sensitive electronics. Duracells DURALOCK technology means these batteries are guaranteed to stay powered for up to 10 years when not being used.
