About this deal

Some of these are in the form of handwritten letters which can be a bit hard to read but overall it's very funny and true to the show's characters. Written by the show’s creators – Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond – this eclectic archive is a unique chance to discover more about the beloved ghosts of Button House. The six-strong writing team have worked together on Yonderland, the feature film Bill and the BBC series Horrible Histories, which won more than 20 major awards. The ghosts of Button House may have been dead a long time - some of them a very long time - but they have all left their mark on the world (even if, in Robin’s case, that mark is just a handprint on the wall of a cave).

It is the perfect Christmas gift and I’m looking forward to seeing the fans dressed up in their favourite ‘Ghosts’ costumes for the events. If you are in Australia or New Zealand (DVD Region 4), note that almost all DVDs distributed in the UK by the BBC and 2entertain are encoded for both Region 2 and Region 4. I received an advance copy for free from NetGalley, on the expectation that I would provide an honest review. I’m glad they decided to release a book as it really does give us a further opportunity to get to know more about the ghosts and enjoy a bit more of the show we all know and love.

I loved reading all of Julian’s election leaflets and speeches particularly the two speeches he prepares for if he wins and if he doesn’t win and I loved reading the love letters from Thomas! Katy Follain, head of Bloomsbury general, acquired UK and Commonwealth rights to Ghosts: The Button House Archives from Paul Stevens at Independent Talent. We're delighted to finally be bringing this idea to life with Bloomsbury to produce something we hope fans will treasure.A warm, unsentimental and beautifully-observed book for our times' Lucy Caldwell, author of These Days 'If I were in bother I'd want the Ballybrady bunch at my back.

Additionally, the plan is for the stars to sign books "at events around the country in the run-up to Christmas". I loved what content was previewed and I’m definitely going to be putting the book on my Christmas list ! She fills her days with swimming, fishing, quilting, and baiting the tourists who arrive from the city with more money than sense. It's presented as a series of documents relating to the lives, and deaths, of Button House's spectral inhabitants.I had a great time with this book and full recommend it as an essential reads for fans of the show and a perfect coffee table book for me to dive into whenever I desire. Some fabulous back stories to all of our favourite Ghosts characters, from love letters written by who else but Thomas, to some newspaper clippings demonstrating some of Pat's non-fatal accidents. Lots of little snippets into the lives of the ghosts that reside on Button House, I can't wait to see the full book. Ghosts: The Button House Archives is described as "a hilarious, colourful and entertaining compendium of surviving artefacts and documents relating to the ghosts of Button House's past lives.

This is a moving and funny debut novel set in a quirky coastal community you will be desperate to visit after reading. Written by the show's creators Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond this eclectic archive is a unique chance to discover more about the beloved ghosts of Button House. Come down the travelators, exit Sainsbury's, turn right and follow the pedestrianised walkway to Crown Walk and turn right - and Coles will be right in front of you. But let's be real, it's a companion to the excellent TV show Ghosts which I adore so it was perfection.Lots of little in-jokes and subtle references for fans, and looks like it will make a great companion piece.
