About this deal

The books are wonderful, interactive in a variety of ways, are inclusive/diverse with a variety of subjects. It’s a first person toddler narrator, and the sentence structure and word choice don’t fit the voice. There is a consistent rhyme throughout on each page which increases the potential fluency of the reader. Young children will love playing with this bright and colourful board book with gentle rhyming text, lots to spot and talk about, and wonderful illustrations by Louise Forshaw.

Giles lives with his wife, Victoria, a children's clothes designer, and their four children by the river in Oxfordshire. With extra special pages for the little ones to personalise, this is the perfect present for mummies everywhere, on Mother’s Day or at any time of the year! Overally though, it's a lovely book, baby is keen on it (we have the board version to stop it being destroyed) and I love love love the pictures. The range of animals included is also good for prompting discussions with little ones by pointing out the different animals, such as pandas, elephants and giraffes.

Simple, moving words and beautiful illustrations by Sebastien Braun capture the spirit of motherhood in a celebration for every mother and child. A celebration of a child's love of mommy, this title makes a wonderful lap read but will also serve well as a readaloud for an audience. Seriously though it was a nice rhymy type of book about mum and her baby that I and my daughter enjoyed. After studying fine arts in Valencia, she went on to complete a teaching masters degree, before living in London whilst working as a graphic designer for advertising agencies.Spedizione e imballo ni: preferirei che i prodotti venissero imballati singolarmente, perché all'interno del pacco cozzano fra loro rovinandosi. ISBN: 9781529088199 Author: Forshaw, Louise Publisher: Campbell Books Publication Date: 2nd February 2023 Imprint: Campbell Books Cover: Other Dewey: 823. The language by Isabel Otter is appropriately uncomplicated and Alicia Mas’ pictures are colourful making them useful to point to and introduce new vocabulary. The beautiful bright illustrations and fun rhymes were a huge hit with my boys, and the celebratory topic of the bond between mum and baby really struck a chord. Perfect for older toddlers/younger preschoolers, this book has simple rhyming sentences on each page coupled with large-sized and boldly colored illustrations. This would make such a lovely Mother’s Day gift from child to Mum – we would definately recommend to add it to a book rotation! The colours aren't very engaging, so we got bored of the pictures pretty quickly, but the story rhymes, which we like. Glowing colours suffuse the pages, with the rich blues, warm golds and browns enveloping animals and readers alike.Being told from the perspective of the baby (or toddler), children will be able to relate to the events in the story or even point out things that they do with their mommy too. This book can be used for a Mothers day activity, getting children to think about what nice things do our mothers do for us? Nice book about reasons children love their mums, although the same could be applied for any family member if a child has an absent parent. Giles is also the creator of the humorous stickman poet Purple Ronnie, and the philosopher/artist Edward Monkton. He has won the Federation of Children's Book Award and the Book Trust Early Years Award, but he is probably most famous as the creator of the phenomenally successful Purple Ronnie, Britain's favourite stickman.
