They don’t filter their spirit at all, they believe this allows you to enjoy the unique flavour of this Irish grain vodka in the way we intended it – pure and unedited. This produces a rich, creamy vodka with notes of black pepper, banana, orange zest and beeswax, leading to a vanilla finish. Boatyard has produced a new world vodka with a point of difference - an unfiltered 100% Irish grain vodka that couldn’t be replicated anywhere else, by anyone else on the planet. With a creamy texture and soft caramel sweetness, it’s a rounded and mouth-filling vodka with notes of orange zest, beeswax, candied lemon, and butterscotch. The resulting alcoholic liquiid, the 'wash', is then distilled three times in our 500 litre 'Mr Gusion' still to 96% ABV. The distilleries seed-to-sip ethos means that they can trace the wheat used in each individual bottle back to the farmer who grew it and even the field in which it was grown.
