About this deal

With a pedigree stretching back to the late-1960s, AOC has been manufacturing high-quality, high-performance display technologies for decades. No matter if you are viewing photos, videos, a magazine layout in InDesign or playing your favourite game – we want your content to look excellent from whatever angle you are seeing it. This way, images always look excellent and accurate, regardless from which angle you – or your friends and co-workers sitting or standing next to you – are looking at the screen. It's ideal for dark-room gaming due to its VA panel that displays deep blacks; however, it has poor black uniformity.

With eye strain and fatigue absolutely minimised, feel free to enjoy those long, intense gaming sessions in comfort! The best overdrive setting is 'Strong', but its response time is slow with this setting and it has some overshoot, resulting in noticeable motion blur. A big AOC monitor may take up too much room and dominate your desk, whereas a smaller monitor may be a strain on your eyes. The monitor is also VESA compatible with, giving you the flexibility to change to another mounting solution of your preference. Our Lowblue Light feature reduces the harmful wavelengths emitted without sacrificing color composition, setting the experience free from the worry of eye damage.

We used the Game mode and most colors are fairly accurate, although some people might notice inaccuracies with the color red.You also have to attach the power cable, along with your choice of DisplayPort or HDMI, and then you’re off to the races.

However, the AOC gets brighter, it has wider viewing angles, the out-of-the-box color accuracy is better, and it has a black frame insertion feature to clear up motion blur. The color temperature is a bit on the warm side and gamma follows the curve fairly well, but dark scenes are too dark, and bright scenes are too bright. It gets bright enough to combat glare if you work in a bright environment and it also has good reflection handling. Curved 5K VA Ultrawide Gaming Monitor, 5120x1440, 1ms MPRT, 3000:1 Contrast, 400nits, 32:9, 3x HDMI 2.What isnt explained is the way they have designed the stands lock in design, that there's a 1/2inch notch cut out where the mounting holes are and as a result if ur mount is even a millimetre wider then u cannot mount it which is ridiculous. Although testing shows there is some oversaturation in red and blues, I never noticed any oversaturation or color distortion while gaming or watching videos.
