It is two minutes to the sea and marshes and we loved watching the harriers morning and evening - Lane End is also a minute from The Anchor - whats not to love? The tree just outside is like Heathrow airport, an array of different kinds of birds flying in and landing on the bird table! My partner and I had a perfect break in this cottage, the sun shone every day and the surrounding peaceful countryside has so many beautiful walks and things to see that we never left the valley during our stay. We had a trip out on our last night to The Sandy Cove Hotel in Ilfracombe which has stunning views and has 2 restaurants. Please note that the size and contents of the hamper may vary from property to property and there may be regional and seasonal variances. The picturesque village of Snettisham boasts stunning sunsets, a glorious beach and plenty of options for outdoor activities for the whole family. We don’t generally like having the owners on the doorstep and it didn’t mention this was the case until after we booked and got all the extra details, so were a little apprehensive as to how involved they would be. So glad that you enjoyed your time at the cottage and were able to get the relaxing holiday you were looking for.

I always think the time between Christmas and NY feels distinctly odd, like we're just marking time. The beach stretches from the harbour along the tree lined coast to Lane End where the lifeboat station is located and beyond to the stunning cliffs at Whitecliff Bay. Watch out for your satnav as even when we thought we had rerouted ours south of Windermere to AVOID Hardknott Pass - it somehow how took us there anyway! Switch on the TV and settle on one of the sofas for a film night or crack open some family board games at the four-seater dining table.

Really spacious living room with a lovely fire to allow the family to sit together with an even larger dining area. Such a beautiful home away from home and if ever we come back to North Devon we'll be booking again. Great ,cosy, clean and well equipped cottage in a very peaceful location,which offers great local walks on the doorstep. With miles of coastal and moorland footpaths, this part of rural North Yorkshire is a walkers and bird watchers paradise.

With free private parking, the property is 16 km from Buxton Opera House and 19 km from Victoria Baths. The kitchen was a good size with everything you would need and a big walk in fireplace with log burner which we lit every evening so was really warm and cosy.

Stairs were a little difficult to manage if you have any mobility issues but other than that can highly recommend. Just one comment, which I really don’t want to sound like a criticism, but perhaps a few more cleaning products could be left, to assist the end of stay cleaning. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Well equipped with everything you need and the hosts even supplied a bottle of wine and some eggs from their hens in the garden on arrival.
