Well I think this book would be epic if the author didn’t spend pages and pages writing about meaningless stuffs. i’ve never been more intrigued🫣like yes…give me nothing, but just enough to make me wanna read it asap😋i feel like i’ve never gone into a book this blind.

Could she be any more self-sacrificial, infuriating, contradicting, confusing, generous, deviant, remarkable, or fucking goddamn consuming? Don't get me wrong, dicks are flying and there's some smut, but this book is SO MUCH MORE than that.

I enjoyed this way more once I decided to take it for what it was: a grandiose love story peppered with suffering and redemption and forgiveness and lies and cute words and a dog that looks like a rat and two main characters I'll probably remember for the rest of my days. If you read my little info recap up there, you might have noticed that the list of tropes goes on and on; this novel is, in fact, a trope soup that will leave you full for days. She was awful but I liked how Emery accepted that her relationship with her mother was what is was and she got her digs in. Mareeva HAHAH i don't trust old ratings either, but i can see why this could've worked if the writing hadn't bothered me so much. Every aspect of this book was so unnecessarily dramatic, from the descriptions to their non-stop wonnabe Aristotle ass conversations.Don’t start this one unless you intend to get sucked in for hours, because this is one book you won’t be able to put down. Even though I cringed when I saw the amount of pages facing me, snail reader here, I kind of inhaled this one, devoured it, sleep is over rated anyways! there were definitely some swoon worthy moments…but this romance book had absolutely no business being 700 pages. This book was simply perfection from beginning to end, I just couldn’t put it down, it was that good. at first i kept reading because i thought they had chemistry, but not even that interests me anymore.

I loved Emery’s relationship with her dad before the lies associated with the SEC investigations damaged it. Ending felt a teeny bit rushed but I guess people like an end to everything and this is always the most popular HEA.He sees the love that Emery has for his brother, and assumes that someday things will work out for them.
